THE DKA LIFE

RIP J

Today I discovered the bad news that one of my friends had passed away.  I met Jeremy Watson freshman year through Watts.  I chilled over at his dorm a couple times n he visited mine as well.  We’d normally throw down a game of NCAA Football and just talk shit about music, life, and whatnot.  After that year I’d occasionally run into him from time to time at parties and we’d always be psyched to see each other and we would both always have these huge ass grins on our faces and talk about how we were gonna kick the shit out of each other in FIFA Hahah.  My only regret is that we never did get to play that last game of FIFA, but if I were to play anything like I did tonight, I’m sure he would have been more than happy to take the “W” off my hands.

I did not know him real well, but I always enjoyed my company.  I like to think that I surround myself with good poeple.  Its sad that such a good person had to leave us so young, but God must have other plans for him.  When these sad events occur I always try to put my trust in God and see what can be made of it.  His death reminded me to wake up every morning- happy that you’re alive and to appreciate what you have, because it may not always be there.  It also reminded me of other good friends and family that have past.  So in times like these I try to tell myself the corny line:  “don’t cry because its over, smile because it happened.”

J & Me

I’m glad I got this picture of us at Watts’ house last fall.

RIP J, you will be missed.

DKA out.

Hi, I am Jeremy’s sister. Our family came across this right after his passing, but no one wrote on your page. It will be 2 years soon, and it is always nice to see good things written about my brother. He was truly was a nice guy, and my best friend. Thank you for acknowledging him, we truly miss him, and it is nice to see that he had an impact on other peoples lives. Thanks again.

Rita
