This year, as backpacks are being filled, it’s a good idea to fill your iPod while you’re at it. This Playlistings release showcases a short (but potent) tracklist of hip-hop’s incoming freshman class. Although these names might be somewhat new, I can promise you they won’t be by the time you bomb that first exam. So to all those who are saddling up for a new year full of fresh pencils, pens, brand new kicks, and squeaky clean notebooks; you’ve got company. Check these new artists out.
