Wanna see Young Moolah dance his balls off? Of course you do.
(Please ignore my drunken douche-ass in the video. My apologies)
Yawp. On April 1st, a few friends and I decided to head down to The Fontainebleau to experience Liv on Sundays. Turns out, Lil Wayne decided to stop by as well. He sang. He danced. He shot the Liv cannon.
Around 1am is the time I arrived at The Fontainebleau with my buddy Trevor. As I walked up to the lobby, I took one last pull from the Franzia bag, slapped the hell out of it and discarded it in the appropriate trash receptacle. Classy. Once we got into the lobby, we met up with our friends and walked passed the entire crowd (it probably helped that our friends were 5 lovely ladies, but I’ll just say its b/c of The DKA Life’s popularity of course). After a quick frisk and 60 dollars of cover later ouch, but always worth every penny. We were in.
As the night went on, I saw on twitter that Liv had confirmed a big special guest and DJ Stevie J was yellin’ out that some of the New York Yankees were there, as well as the WWE Championship belt (Wrestlemania has just been in Miami) and Flo-Rida. Then later, he shouted “YMCMB in the building!”and these glowsticks that were passed out..
morphed into these
.
That’s right– Young. Money. Glowsticks.
It had to have been around 3am before Mr. Carter made an appearance. And unbenounced to me, I turned around and there he was, Weezy F Baby & Don’t Forget the F Baby….right behind me, about to get on stage. A few videos were taken before my camera died :(. And sadly, my iPhone 3GS just couldn’t handle the bass at Liv.
So here are a few entertaining videos that I took before the untimely death of my battery.
The joy in his face above is priceless.
“Boy you got the belt? Hold up, he got the belt eyyy he got the belt”
Lil Wayne was definitely in his own zone. None the less he provided an entertaining evening for all those in attendance, myself included. Many of you know that I think people go a liiiiitttttle too ape shit for Lil Wayne, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t enjoy first row at an impromptu concert by him. I won’t deny that he’s talented and I have many of his albums
Anywho, we didn’t get back in till about 5:30am and I was thursty hongry tired. And thus, the night ended and I flew back to Michigan that day. Definitely one of my best nights in Miami yet.

First up, Miami’s own QuESt. I had heard a track or two from him last year. “If You Wanna” that caught my ear, but his other songs at the time just didn’t really stand out to me. Well, that’s changed now after his last mixtape ‘Fear Not Failure’. He brings out a new vibe and I’m a fan.
Check out the trailer below.
I’ve given this mixtape a couple listens to and it gets The DKA Life seal of approval. The production has alot of electronic influence, which is always welcome. A lot of the album…I mean mixtape, also has a Weeknd feel/sound production wise. However, its a bit more uplifting than the Weeknd. Definitely one of the best, complete projects I’ve heard thus far this year.
Hopefully I’ll get to see him live before I leave the 305. I look forward to hearing more of his work.
…I posted it first for a reason, go download it.
aaaand of course, I gotta give you the new Childish Gambino tracks that dropped (one’s a feature in his fellow producer/singer Ludovin’s new project) Looking forward to Donald’s mixtape….errr Mixtape EP dropping later this year.
via GMAD (gracias)
Ludovin’s “Tricks” ft. Childish Gambino
Childish Gambino “Eat Your Vegetables”
Boy, this came outta no where. Funkmaster Flex & DJ Khaled dropped this lil Kanye joint today, “Theraflu”. So so so coooold Yeeezy. Kanye goin off on some dudes. Can’t wait for the new kicks to drop. My boy Philly is gonna have to school me on how to get them exclusive kicks.
…and stay tuned for GOOD Friday.
Yeah, I been slacking. Mac Miller dropped this mixtape, ‘Macadelic’, off 2 weeks ago I believe. I’ve enjoyed it. This mixtape is a bit more mature and is a solid project that’s worth the download.
Well, I think that’s all I got for now. I need to post more often, but I was busy working the ER and partying my ass off. I’m home now, but when I get back to Miami, expect a couple more posts. Definitely had an insane night at Liv that I’ll be blogging about.
That is all. DKA out.

I’m overcome with great sadness to announce that this will be the final Playlistings mixtape to release. Some of you may have noticed that past links have been removed by the RIAA because of copyright infringements. Although the VividUnderground and the DKALife attempt to bring you each day’s newest worry-free tracks that circumnavigate the globe within seconds each day in a legal manner, we can’t guarantee that each track doesn’t slip through the cracks and somehow inevitably prevents a multi-millionaire from making that down payment on a Bentley covered in gold (Bender is a little salty haha. I blame the record labels more than the artists themselves, since its normally the artists that are proud to show their new work *G.O.O.D Friday’s for example…one of the reasons I love hiphop is because the artists are constantly putting out great material…record label or not. In today’s world, you don’t really NEED a record label to be successful. ie. Cudi’s “Day and Night”, Drake’s “Best I Ever Had”. You just have to be good enough to get the attention of other artists and bloggers..and well, people)
I wouldn’t say there will NEVER be another Playlistings…but we’re definitely going to take a break. So enjoy it. Its been a pleasure.

Big Sean.
Its not very often I get motivated to write an article/review on an artist. As some of you know, the last artist I did a little piece on Drake, which you can read here. Big Sean was born in California, but grew up in lovely city of Detroit. He’s currently signed to Kanye’s label GOOD Music and has a flow and sound like Fabolous. I heard about Big Sean when he first made his appearance on Kanye’s 2007 summer mixtape “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” with the song “Getchya Some”. It was and still is a decent song. A year or two later I decided to download his first mixtape Finally Famous The Mixtape. To be honest it didn’t get alot of play on my iTunes. Fast forward to the past couple weeks, Big Sean made a few guest appearances on Mike Posner’s mixtape A Matter of Time, which is also worth the free download on iTunes. (I’ll probably make a post on Mike Posner later). So yesterday, April 16th, Big Sean released his second album, UKNOWBIGSEAN. Wow.
Like he says on his mixtape “like wine he gets better with age”. Maybe his music is just the perfect match for my mood right now. But this mixtape is definatley album quality. I’ve only listened to it once thus far, so its hard to see whether or not it has replay ability, but I was able to listen to it the whole way through the first time without skipping any tracks which is a good sign (Even though I love Kid Cudi’s mixtape “A Kid Named Cudi”, it took awhile for it to grow on me).
In my opinion, this kids metaphors already rival that of Drakes and even the untouchable Lil Wayne. Time will tell whether or not he comes through and keeps producing good product. Some of my favorite songs on the album are “Love story”, “UKnowBigSean”, “Billionaire” (once you get past the annoying DJ Khaled intro…the beat is crazy), “who knows”, “hollywood”, “Last for Life”, among many others.
His metaphors and lyrics are on point. Do yourself and download his free mixtape here. 5/5 from DKA.
