First time in 25 years. Damn it feels good to be a Spartan.

I’m sorry friends. I’ve been neglecting you. As I write this, I’m currently flying back to Michigan for the MSU vs Nebraska game. Pretty pumped about it. It’ll be a damn good time spending time with SundbergFTW, Scotter, Ty, Sammy C, Alli, Hannah, Watts, Rauch and we’ll finally get to introduce Mal to Ricks.
Where to start? I suppose I shouldn’t make this post too wordy. So since I’m already discussing football I suppose I should talk about last weekend when I went to visit Madison. My first away Michigan State football game. It was colder than a polar bear’s toenails.
I had a great weekend with my cuzzo Franker and even chicagoian Bendey made the trip. Good drunken times were had. I must say the experience of Madison is quite different than East Lansing tailgating. In Madison its much more centered around bars, whereas at MSU, its all about getting drunk on some tennis courts. I gotta say that Madison bars are nicer than States, but Sparty has better tailgating. It was nice tho, when at a Madison bar, the Wisconsin marching band decided to drop through randomly, which was pretty cool.

The Wisconsin fans were very respectful and we didn’t catch any sh*t. Even after beating them in over time, which gave me a bonner (hence the reason I didn’t keep recording)

After the game, Bendey, Franker and I enjoyed some quality Midwestern binge drinking. One yard at a time, making the Klem family proud. Even Bendey unexpectedly showed out.
While at Franker’s place there were also many heated games of NBA Jam and NCAA Football. Safe to say, Bendey was put in his place in NBA Jam. Burnie will haunt Bendey’s dreams for the rest of his life.
The matches between star player #1 WR Frank Kennedy and MSU were pretty close, although he might have had me on the total number of wins. It was Halloween weekend, which of course had its benefits when we went out in Madison, ie Freakfest.
It was a quality weekend. Always enjoy hanging with Bendey and Franker. We miiiight have almost missed out flights, but my cheese curds and emptying our bladders were worth it.

Yes, The DKA Life follower himself
haaa, XV, has returned with another mixtape to build hype towards his first album “The Kid With the Green Backpack”. Friday he released ‘Zero Heroes’. I’ve already listened to it a couple of times and I’m definitely feelin’ this mixtape a lot more than his previous tape, “Vizzy Zone”.
Some of my favorite tracks
“When We’re Done”
“Foreign Exchange Student” (love the 80’s Miami upbeat vibe)
“The Last Heroes”
…there are others, but you get the point…go get the mixtape and find your own.
I’ve said before “His style is sort of Lupe Fiasco voice-ish, but has a bit of Big Sean’s wordplay lyricism, but he keeps it real and has many pop culture and video game metaphors and if you grew up in the 90s like I did, you’ll appreciate every one of them.”
If you a fan of real hiphop, this another must download.
Oh, and I got a twitter now.

Thank goodness for ESPN3 and tuesday night MSU games.
Sorry Genetics.

Clint Bowyer won at Louden this week. Pushing him from 12th in the chase to 2nd. Next week is Dover. Do work.
and of course, the dramatic finish to the MSU vs. ND game. Get well Dantonio.
Yessir.
Chances are you don’t give a F about Nascar, unless your name is Clark Rowekamp. But I don’t care, it had been 88 races since he last won.

Haha wasn’t sure I’d ever get a reason to post one of my pictures of K-os from when he performed at Michigan State, but what do ya know… he dropped a new mixtape today titled “The Anchorman Mixtape”
If you haven’t heard of K-os before, he mixes rapping and melodic singing, similar to the homey Kid Cudi, but with more rocker-ish style. He’s definitely been on the grind for awhile. You’ve probably heard this song by him “Sunday Morning”
Anyways, I love Anchorman, so it was a must download for me. Another reason why I am posting this, is because I know it’ll be a must download for my buddy Vasu. You’re welcome. haha

I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile now. Actually I’m surprised I haven’t yet considering the absurd amount of free time I have on my hands. Anyrate, I’m moving down to Miami in a couple weeks, but I wanted to take some memories from Michigan State University with me. I’ve absolutely loved my experience here and wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I have met so many amazing people that have helped shaped me into the person that I am today and I’m forever great-full for all of you who have been apart of my life.

I wish I had a positive caption for the Library. But that's not gonna happen. Its not even gonna get a fullsize photo.
I have plenty of pictures of my friends n I stumbling around late at night, but I never really took the time to capture MSU’s beauty during the day, the way I saw it every time I walked to class. Its really too bad that most of our school year takes place during the winter, but at the same time it might be the blistering cold, that helps me appreciate the fall and spring around here so much more.
So basically, these are pictures for when I miss MSU and all the good times I’ve had here. Here are a couple of my favorites.

The Chem Building that always seemed to be under contruction. Many student's dreams have been crushed here.
Which one is going to grace your desktop wallpaper? hah.
Well, that’s it for now. I still need to do one more round of photos and get the Breslin and Wonders, but I still have a few weeks left. You should be able to click any of these for a larger view.

DKA out!
Twice a year finals show up unwelcomed. To cope with them, I listen to songs and I’ve noticed, each time finals roll around, I get one song that plays more than others, they just come to play naturally.
Last year it was Arab Money. Every 20 minutes or so, Rauch..or whoever I was studying with would see me do the lil dance & know what song I was jammin to
This year’s winner is straight from 1999:

April 12th’s concert was full of surprises. What was scheduled to be a Kid Cudi show opened by Clipse ended up being a dream hip hop line up complete with XV, Pac Div, Big Sean, Clipse, and Kid Cudi. Another amazing concert was put on by RHA. The concert was at Michigan State University’s auditorium and tickets sold out in 8 minutes. I was lucky enough to grab row 7 tickets and made my way to front row. First up was Vizzy vizzy vizzy.
I was almost more hyped to see XV than all the other artists. I been followin this kid for almost a year now, his last two mixtapes 30 minute layover (made in only 4 days) and Everybody’s Nobody (tons of great features). Anyone that grew up in the 90s can appreciate all of his references. Vizzy killed the set and got people more hyped than the other artists did. He easily could have opened for Cudi by himself. I look forward to seeing him perform again. Keep up with him on his blog and stay on the look out for his debut album, The Kid With the Green Backpack.
Cliff Skighwalker & Rodney James help put on another great show. Shout out to their hard work.
Pac Div made their first ever stop in Michigan and performed several hits from their mixtape Church League Champions. I was happy to see them play “We the Champs”, they also performed “Knuckleheadz” and “Shut up”. Another one of my favorites from their album is “No No”, I wished they would have played that, but they still put on a great show regardless. DJ Sean was on his rap shit as usual. Download the Lever 2009 mixtape for more Pac Div music.
Next up was the surprise appearance of the homie Big Sean! The last time Big Sean was at Michigan State, he killed it. You can read my full concert review featuring Fly. Union, and interview with Mike Posner HERE. He performed Supa Dupa Lemonade. The song that’s been on repeat for a good two months now. Shout out to Bendey for the assist with the video.
Next up was Clipse. I was happy they played their classic hit Grindin’ and several others off their new album Till the Casket Drops, an album that really surprised me. Go take a listen if you haven’t already. My battery was gettin’ low so I wasn’t able to capture as much as I wanted, but here’s a picture. My favorite performance by them had to be “Keys Open Doors”.
And then Mr. Mescudi, aka Domingo Brown, aka Kid Cudi graced the stage. I was lucky enough to see him perform The Hip Hop Hangover Tour with 88 Keys and Asher Roth next door at the Royal Oak Theater, you can read my full summary of that show HERE.
He performed many of his new hits including “Already home” (pretty sure that made my boy Clark’s night), “That Tree”, as well as “Memories”. He also gave us a sneak peak an a cappella version of Groovin, which will be on his next album Cudder & The Revolution of Evolution.
Download that right HERE.
Cudi ended the show in style. Just like he did at Royal Oak, he played the last 3 songs in succession and the whole crowd RAGED. Nothin like fist pumping jammin’ to Memories and Day n Night Crooker’s remix to end the night.
