Yes, The DKA Life follower himself
haaa, XV, has returned with another mixtape to build hype towards his first album “The Kid With the Green Backpack”. Friday he released ‘Zero Heroes’. I’ve already listened to it a couple of times and I’m definitely feelin’ this mixtape a lot more than his previous tape, “Vizzy Zone”.
Some of my favorite tracks
“When We’re Done”
“Foreign Exchange Student” (love the 80’s Miami upbeat vibe)
“The Last Heroes”
…there are others, but you get the point…go get the mixtape and find your own.
I’ve said before “His style is sort of Lupe Fiasco voice-ish, but has a bit of Big Sean’s wordplay lyricism, but he keeps it real and has many pop culture and video game metaphors and if you grew up in the 90s like I did, you’ll appreciate every one of them.”
If you a fan of real hiphop, this another must download.
Oh, and I got a twitter now.

DOWNLOAD THE WORLD’S GREATEST F’N THING RIGHT NOW
I’ve been excited for this volume to drop. It was only a few days ago that the rookie class was introduced to the Vivid/DKALife/hip-hop sector and it’s been nothing but G.O.O.D. music ever since. Kanye, XV, and Detroit’s very own Big Sean lock up the majority of the slots on this one. Chicago, Detroit, and hell, why not…Kansas City has earned it’s place on the map with XV’s “Vizzy Zone” mixtape coming out late last week. You’re about to get dialed in on this one! Quite possibly the best Playlistings yet imo.
Volume 7 Tracklist:
Kanye West – Runaway (feat. Pusha T) (For my opinion on the VMA performance, click here)
Wiz Khalifa – Black & Yellow
XV – Best Is Yet To Come (feat. Colin Munroe)
Chiddy Bang – Fuck You [Remix]
Pimp C – What Up (feat. Drake & Bun B)
Big Sean – Home Town
Kanye West – Monster (feat. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Bon Iver, Nicki Minaj)
Fabolous – You Be Killin ‘Em
XV – Falling Awake
Jason Derulo – Liquor Love
P. Reign – Never Looking Back
Jeremih – Down On Me (feat. 50 Cent)
K-Young – Please Me (feat. Bobby Brackins & Yung Berg)
Stromae – Alors On Danse (feat. Kanye West & Gilbere Forte)
IYAZ – Fight 4 U
Jeremih – We Like To Party
Big Sean – My Closet
Taio Cruz – What You Need
XV – May The Force Be With You (feat. Killer Mike & Mac Miller)
Kanye West – G.O.O.D. Friday (feat. Common, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, Big Sean, Charlie Wilson)
Pitbull – Hey Baby [Drop It To The Floor] (feat. T-Pain)
Gorilla Zoe – Just Like My Chevy (feat. Snoop Dogg)
Trey Songz – Love Me Better
This tape is tailgate approved. Listen to good music and look cool AT THE SAME TIME for free.

Mann one of the reasons I love hiphop….amazing free music. XV has released his newest mixtape titled Vizzy Zone hosted by DJ Ill Will and DJ Rockstar. I’ve been waitin on this mixtape for months now and can’t wait to play it. Sadly, have to be up in 5 hours, but I felt the need to bring his music too you. Can’t wait to hear it fully tomorrow.
If you haven’t heard of XV, he opened for Kid Cudi at the MSU show and killlllllled it. I did a review of that show HERE, which he was a fan of (peep the cheap plug below). He’s from Kansas City and many of the tracks were produced by the same people from his hometown, like Seven, that helped him get to his status now. He was recently signed too, so congrats to him. His last two mixtapes, Everybody’s Nobody and 30 minute layover, were praised by many, so I expect this one to be just as good. His style is sort of Lupe Fiasco voice-ish, but Big Sean’s wordplay, but he keeps it real and has many pop culture and video game metaphors and if you grew up in the 90s like I did, you’ll appreciate every one of them.
The album features favorites like Talib Kweli, Chiddy Bang, and Colin Munroe. Be on the look out for his album The Kid With The Green Backpack and his music video Mirror’s Edge which should be releasing soon. (The remix features GLC, the homey Mike Posner, and the legendary Bun B)
DKA out!
P.S. I’m told by sources that if you’re going to the Big Sean show at MSU tomorrow (today thursday), then you can probably expect an appearance from Mike Posner. Mannn, sometimes I wish I was back in East Lansing…but Miami will have to do.

This year, as backpacks are being filled, it’s a good idea to fill your iPod while you’re at it. This Playlistings release showcases a short (but potent) tracklist of hip-hop’s incoming freshman class. Although these names might be somewhat new, I can promise you they won’t be by the time you bomb that first exam. So to all those who are saddling up for a new year full of fresh pencils, pens, brand new kicks, and squeaky clean notebooks; you’ve got company. Check these new artists out.
Tracklist:
The Dean’s List – College Girls (feat. Jordan Brown)
Mac Miller – Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza
Kid Ink – All I Know (feat. Sterling Simms)
DLRN – Reset (feat. Prometheus Brown & Illecism)
Diggy Simmons – Great Expectations (feat. Bei Maejor)
Sean Brown – Change (feat. Ty$)
XV – We Zonin’
Los – Theme Song (feat. DC)
P.S. I feel bad for anyone who never had the chance to rock LA Gear’s back in the 90′s. I hope they make a return soon. Get those A’s kids.

To be honest, this is just kind of a BS post that I’m doin’. I took a few screenshots of people’s statuses that I found amusing. Now I’m cleaning off my desktop and well, I’m just gonna post em here so I can delete them.
Aight, thanks for reading, now I can delete these off of my desktop and help my desktop look fresh as hell.
