Yes, The DKA Life follower himselfhaaa, XV, has returned with another mixtape to build hype towards his first album “The Kid With the Green Backpack”. Friday he released ‘Zero Heroes’. I’ve already listened to it a couple of times and I’m definitely feelin’ this mixtape a lot more than his previous tape, “Vizzy Zone”.
“Foreign Exchange Student” (love the 80’s Miami upbeat vibe)
“The Last Heroes”
…there are others, but you get the point…go get the mixtape and find your own.
I’ve said before “His style is sort of Lupe Fiasco voice-ish, but has a bit of Big Sean’s wordplay lyricism, but he keeps it real and has many pop culture and video game metaphors and if you grew up in the 90s like I did, you’ll appreciate every one of them.”
If you a fan of real hiphop, this another must download.
And for those of you that might be joining me at the Bardot (my new favorite spot) this saturday to see Pusha T (1/2 of Clipse), get familiar with his work and enjoy his newest mixtape he dropped about 2 weeks ago.
Be on the look out for his free album “Zero Heroes” droppin 4.XV.2011. #Squarians.
Annd why not? Saw Miami native, Cris Cab put on a great performance Saturday. Watch this and enjoy. Kid is makin moves. I’ll be makin’ a future post about him sometime, along with more of his music. For now, here’s his interpretation of All of the Lights.
Whew, that should hold ya over for a few days. Its all good music people. Enjoy my DKAliens.
